Board of Deacons:  You must be a member of the church to be on this board, and serve a three-year term. The board of Deacons shall in every way assist the pastor in caring for the sick, needy, and welcoming all who attend. The board greets the congregation on Sunday mornings, distributes bulletins, prepares and assists with communion, and picks up pews after church. This board meets once a month.

Board of Trustees: At least three of the six members of this board must be members of the church and the term is 3 years. This board oversees the property and finances of the church, as well as its upkeep, protection, and management. This board transacts any legal matters and transactions. The board meets monthly with special additional meeting during budgeting. All boards of the church report their finances to the Trustees for the Annual meeting. The Trustees also submit a proposed budget for adoption at the Annual meeting.

The Board of Christian Education:  At least three of the six members of this board must be members of the church and the term is three years.  The board shall plan and administer along with the Superintendent the educational objectives and goals for the church and oversees the mouse room. This board meets once a month.

Mission Committee:  This committee consists of three people with a maximum of six and members serve a three-year term. This committee involves the church in the total ministry of outreach to people in need at home and around the world. They promote missions for American Baptist Churches and others by collecting funds. They also encourage attendance to Christian Camps for Youth and mission’s education and service to the members and children of the church. This board meets once a month.

The Pastoral Relations Committee:  This committee consists of not more than six members of the church, and represents various ages and interest groups. They meet four times a year and their responsibility is to strengthen pastor-people relationships and to act as a channel regarding the reactions of the congregation and their responsiveness to the pastor’s leadership. They also review the pastor’s annual compensation, evaluate the pastor’s performance, and counsel the pastor regarding continuing education and the pastor’s well being.
